Family Winter Photoshoot at the Big Hill Springs Provincial Park - Airdrie and Calgary Family Photographer
It has been a very long and cold winter this year in Calgary, Alberta - we got tons of snow and it just seemed like the winter will never end… The first nice weekend, when the temperature was finally above 0C, I have met Rhoda and her beautiful family at the Big Hill Springs Provincial Park for her Family Winter Photoshoot.
Big Hill Springs is a provincial park in Alberta, Canada. It is located 10 km north of Cochrane in Rocky View County, (about 20 minutes drive West from Airdrie and it is NW of Calgary). It is a beautiful park that is open all year round - perfect place for hiking. The Big Hill Springs Trail is a 1.6 KM loop that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, bird watching and of course taking gorgeous photos of your family. Talking about gorgeous photos - I will having Spring Mini Sessions this year at the Big Hill Springs Provincial Park on May 26th, so if you have ever thought to yourself “I think I need to update my family portraits” - now would be a perfect time to do that. Since it was the first warm weekend of the season, there were lots of people at the Big Hill Springs park enjoying the weather and the nature walk, I have actually run into 2 of my clients there - what a small world. Although it was still a little bit slippery from all of the snow, it was warm enough to finally NOT wear a jacket! Rhoda and her family had super cute matching outfits all the way to their shoes and they had a great time. We even did an Easter egg hunt (even though Easter is not here for another month), because why not? Check out this beautiful family in this beautiful place and give it some love!
